ALSTROEMERIA PSITTACINA 'VARIEGATA'

This legume is reliable and long lived forming strong dense clumps. In a sunny spot it

will form dense green bushes of summer growth to 4ft with a bluish tinge.

The long flower raecemes in early summer are the blueist blue. Absolutely gorgeous.

Irresistable when in flower.

CAMPANULA LACTIFOLIA 'PRICHARD'S VARIETY' AGM

One of the best Campanula varieties which offers easy grace and style to the

herbaceous border. Deep violet blue flowers are held on upright stems at 2-3ft in

summer. Will repeat flower if cut down half way after flowering.

Will grow in sun or shade. A good doer.

CIMICIFUGA 'ATROPURPUREA'

This outstanding and magestic hardy perennial forms large, loose clumps of dark,

bronze foilage. It is excellent in partial shade on a soil that hold some moisture

in the summer. Its flowers appear in Autumn as long spires made up of tiny white

flowers with the most delicate of pink blush. Gorgeous scent. Height 6ft.

CLEMATIS INTEGRIFOLIA 'OZAWA'S BLUE'

A recent introduction from Japan. which carries large mid blue bells over rounded

foilage to June to September. Let it scramble through shrubs or amongst

herbaceous plants for best results. It carries a lovely fragrence.

A fabulous new introduction. This herbaceous Clematis is compact and self

DIGITALIS MERTONENSIS (The Strawberry Foxglove)

This robust clump forming perennial carries strong flower spikes of large tubular,

crushed strawberry coloured flowers in Mid Summer. The large dark green

attractive foilage is evergreen. Best in sun or light shade.

This perennial foxglove is quite different to the common foxglove. It has stiff

architectural spikes of chocolate brown red veined flowers which rise above

A pure white variety of our common foxglove. It is very distinctive and one of

our best selling lines. It is best in partial shade on all but the heaviest of soils.

A soft peachy apricot variety of our common foxglove. The tall spires appear

GAURA LINDHEIMERII 'WHIRLING BUTTERFLIES'

A very hardy perennial forming a clump of grey - green foilage crowned by abundant

graceful flowerheads from Early Summer til Autumn. Tolerant of partial shade but

best in sun. Height 2 - 3ft. An excellent subject for the herbaceous border due to

its ethereal flowering habit.

GERANIUM HIMALAYENSE PLENUM

An unusual double flowered perennial Geranium. Carries a profusion of showy

lavander - blue flowers on a compact plant. Excellent as part of an Early Summer

display. Good clump former.

GERANIUM PYRENAICUM 'BILL WALLIS'

This unusual perennial Geranium carries masses of very deep violet - purple

flowers from Late Spring. Forms a tidy clump and performs well in full sun with

good drainage. Seeds freely to surprise you in other parts of the garden.

GERANIUM 'MAVIS SIMPSON'

A suberb perennial Geranium that is extremely long flowered.

It forms clumps of creeping greyish round leaves which are smothered by clear

GEUM COCCINNEA BORISII

This perennial forms a dense hummock of attractive foilage which is surmounted

throughout the Summer by branched stems bearing riveting Spanish orange

flowers of real substance. An excellent herbaceous specimen.

LEUCANTHEMUM 'AGLAIA'

This very desirable 'shasta' daisy has fully double, deeply ragged blooms from

July to September. This modern form of the traditional cottage garden plant is a

real improvement. Forms a decent clump and stays compact at 2ft.

LOBELIA 'TANIA'

This clump forming hardy perennial has beetroot red stained foilage topped

by crimson - purple flower spikes. This selection is reliably hardy and best

in a sunny spot. Very desirable in the garden.

LIGULARIA 'DESDEMONA'

This species is especially handsome due to its large rounded purplish leaves which

forms an attractive clump. Has large yellow - orange daisy like flowers.

Flowers are carried on erect branching stems all summer.

Likes to be grown in moist soil but doesn't mind shade. Height 3 - 5ft.

MONARDA 'RUBY GLOW'

This modern introduction carries rich ruby red flower whorls. The foliage is atrractively

aromatic with a deep red staining. Its height at only 2'6" means it will fit into almost any

border setting. Best on a soil that retains mositure during the summer.

MONARDA 'SQUAW'

Attractive red tinged foliage topped with whorls of unique and fascinating

guardsman red flowers. A must have in the cottage Garden border.

A very pretty Penstemon with pale bluish - liliac flowers with a white throat.

A fairly tall variety standing proud at 4ft with large flowers to accompany it at

variety. The 3ft flower stems carry extra large plum - purple flowers with a

clear white throat.

PENSTEMON 'FIREBIRD' AGM

This is one of the most popular Penstemons for its spectacular and long lasting

flowering season. It was breed for its persistence, the tubular flowers are a

bright red with darker internal veining that almost glows.

Forms a bushy plant to 3ft. A brilliant garden plant.

PENSTEMON 'FLAMINGO'

A good large deep pink flowered Penstemon with attractive pink veins

in the white throat. Very attractive. One of the best pink penstemons.

tubular flowers of a uniquely beautiful soft fuchsia shade with white throat.

We had real trouble finding words to descrbe the colour.
